Why is it that Australia and New Zealand become technologically advanced and wealthy?

Australia and New Zealand are more advanced then Papua New Guinea due to these reasons. Unlike Papua New Guinea, Australia and New Zealand both are much more united to the world. Because Papua New Guinea doesn't have very rich resources, no one from the outside world want's anything from them. Because Papua New Guinea didn't have the best resources no one from the outside world came to their land to trade/get anything.

Australia and New Zealand were more connected to the outer world then Papua New Guinea. In the earlier times Europe's dungeons had been getting overloaded with people. Europe needed a place to keep the prisoners. They had heard about Australia from other travelers and the many wonderful resources they had, and decided they would go to Australia. The reason they wanted to go to Australia was because firstly they needed a place to put the prisoners and secondly get some resources from Australia. Europe didn't choose Papua New Guinea because it didn't have the best resources, and because, the local Papua New Guineans were black. The world was color racist at that time. Along with all that, because the Papua New Guineans weren't united they didn't get the experience to see other countries creations. That then didn't bring them forward.

The other reason why Papua New Guinea was less advanced then Australia and New Zealand was because  the riches were good. Many different countries came to Australia and New Zealand because the riches were wonderful. They didn't go to Papua New Guinea because obviously their resources weren't as good. Australia and New Zealand then became more popular and while becoming more popular they got new resources from other countries in the world. Another thing that Papua didn't have was good animals to trade. One recourse that the Papua New Guineans had was fish lumber, coconut/palms which I don't think anyone would go so far to get.

All this was why Australia and New Zealand were more wealthy and technologically advanced than Papua New Guineans.

My Alive Nightmare
The first "Squish!" and "Stomp!" I heard I knew they were back. This was going to be a long terrible day. Even if the giants were here to help the ecosystem and plant a mangrove tree, they would hurt us! Last time the giants kept on collapsing on us mud skippers, and so what if the mud was a little bit slipery for them... they could've gotten me killed! I bet they atleast got one of us killed last time. If they were to come again, hopefully this group woudn't be so clumsy and blind, coudn't they think of the precious mud as if it were their home?

They stomped through the mud as if large elephants. Only after there first few steps I could tell that they would destroy my day. Just like me all the other mud skippers and crabs tryed to avoid the giants. We just couldn't avoid them, especally when they were such space hoggers! When I tryed to escape feet apeared in every dicertion I looked. When the giant's saw us they screamed and shouted "mud skipper!!!" There such scardy cats! even I'm not so scared... And plus I'm much smaller than them and there still screaming at us. To tell the truth I think us mud skippers should be the ones screaming at them! My whole morning was all this commotion and panicking. But this was only the morning!

For the whole day I had been running away and panicking. After a long day of this I thought all the giants had dispeard, It turns only most of them did...

At Later that day I was just cooling off, walking around finding a spot, doing my thing when I by accidently walked on to a living breathing thing that was very comftrable. The thing was  and soft and a little bit muddy, but mostly a darker shade than the mud in color. I had just gotten on when it started to move! up, Up, UP it went! So high I felt like I could touch the light blue sky from up there! I was afriad I just stay put for a little while.

"HHHAAAAA!!!! You have a mudskipper in your hair!" a sharp shrill awoken me from my deep sleep. So many giant's were staring at me! Some where whispering to other giants, some had there mouth's open and coudn't get there eyes of me. I knew I was butiful, but that was just mean! I had never experianced a horrible tragety like this. A huge person (one that was bigger than the other smaller ones) picked me up by my tail and swung me back in to the mud, by my tail! "aawwtttccchhhiii!" that hurt! I learned that the giants are very mean and that it's time to start looking for a new home.
