Geographer

Have you ever wondered who makes the geographical maps of the world? Or who gives out the information about weather patterns? Or how animals adapt to particular environments?  Well, I have. That is the kind of work that physical geographers do.  I think this would be a very fascinating job.

Ever since I have been a baby I have been traveling all over the world. I have lived in different parts of the United States and as the country is very large, the geography is different in different parts of the country. It is cold in some parts of the country in the winter time, and it is hot and humid in other parts of the country most of the year. Geography also varies from place to place.  Ethiopia is a little bit like Malaysia hot all year round. But unlike Malaysia it is dry, not humid. In Ethiopia there are animals like goats and cows walking on the street. I've also lived in Sweden which is part of Northern Europe. Winter lasts long, and animals have adapted to the environment. I think it would be very much fun to travel back to these places and study more seriously the details of these different environments.

The reasons I think I would be good as a physical geographer are several.  I love to study details, and I like to work with detailed things like maps. I love to investigate things closer. I have also traveled for my whole life so I'm familiar with the world map and love finding new places on maps. And lastly, I would be very excited to do this kind of work and it would make me happy.
